2026 Featured Tellers

The 2026 Feature Tellers are the kind of performers who don’t just tell stories—they ignite them. They guide us into forgotten histories, illuminate cultural traditions, stir the imagination, and remind us that stories nourish the soul just as surely as Stone Soup’s legendary pot nourished an entire village.
Their performances are the heartbeat of the festival.
And soon, you’ll get to meet them.

The Stone Soup Storytelling Festival is wonderful. I was excited to be chosen to participate in the Linda Goodman's New Voices contest and coming as one of the first place tellers was just icing on the cake. Everyone enjoys not only the stories but the gathering together. I recommend if you're curious about the festival just buy a ticket and go!

Selection into Stone Soup Storytelling Festival’s New Voices was one of the most validating experiences of my career thus far. Any time doubt rears its ugly voice in my head, I remember that I was a New Voice – I know I’m on the right path.

Nothing connects people faster than hearing each other’s stories, and we need that connection now more than ever given the fragmentation and social divisions that mark so many communities across the country. Through sharing our stories and listening to the stories of others, we can bring about much-needed healing.
