2025 Stone Soup Storytelling Festival

Introduction to: The “Stone Soup New Voice”

By Stone Soup Storytelling Institute
rev: 05/26/2022

The Vision: The Stone Soup original vision for New Voices was to bring great, talented, relatively unknown (local/regional/national) storytellers that were working to develop their love for storytelling into a profession to the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival to support and promote talented tellers that were in the “shadows.”

The Image: The “Stone Soup Storytelling New Voice” (the SSNV) has their heart set on becoming a recognized storytelling talent. The SSNV desires to come to the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival to perform on our Main Stage and to promote their talent for the public and our festival and attendees.

The SSNV believes in the power of stories.

The SSNV should have a plan for advancement, to include:

  • A plan of action to further public recognition of their art and of their storytelling performances
  • Promo materials, bios, samples of their performances, intro, description of their repertoire,
diversity in their performances, a website, social contacts, etc.

The Invitation:

    audience?

empathy, and stimulate creativity and imagination?
